- Dixiland Dancing
The Dixiland style was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA during the Civil War as a result of meeting European and African cultures. The style evolved in the early 20th century and gained momentum in 1917 when it was also called "New Orleans Jazz." Dixiland is considered one of the first styles in jazz.
In her performances, Sol incorporates original songs and side-songs of blues legends and soul in the office was influenced by legends such as Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Rosetta T. Harp, Lee Morse, Clara Smith. In the new show, Dixiland Dances, Sol revives the Dixiland and Regtish culture of the 1920s and 1930s, revealing it to our new generation in its unique way.
